Description

Hamlet's a challenge for any actor, but when Jessica is cast as the titular character in a New York production, it sends her into an existential tailspin. It doesn't help that every Starbucks barista with an MFA tells her she's too young for the role. Or that she's somehow managed to make Sir Patrick Stewart her nemesis. Not to mention the fact that she's a woman. How can Jessica figure out "to be or not to be," when she can't even figure out herself? Featuring an all-female cast performing multiple roles, Women Playing Hamlet is rip-roaring fun for Shakespeare fans and haters alike.

This wickedly clever new play from William Missouri Downs, dubbed 'a comedy about a tragedy,' uses an all-woman cast to explore questions of courage and conscience in a modern setting, managing to both spoof Shakespeare and pay homage to him in a two-hour show that moves like lightning. - The Patriot News Harrisburg

With the colorful script and vivid characters Women Playing Hamlet is a slam dunk... - Kansas City Examiner

 New Ticketing
Sadly, we found that the ticketing system we used last season was not convenient for us or our patrons. As a result, we are reverting to the original reservation system. Simply call the theatre at 575-523-1223 and, if we are not there, leave a message with your name (please spell your last name), phone number, the performance you want, the number of seats you want, and any special seating requirements you might have. Please do not use email or other phone numbers to make reservations. since they could get lost!
The theatre is currently rearranged from the earlier shows of the 24-25 season. The stage is currently on the parking lot wall with 6 rows of seating rising from floor level to 40". There are only 12 seats at floor level and the total seating is now reduced to 73 with no ability to add extra seats so please reserve early to assure that you get the seats you want
