No Strings Theatre Company is pleased to consider original manuscripts for production or public reading. In general, priority is given to works not previously produced but we also accept works with a limited production history. While we can present readings of plays with large casts and multiple settings, we cannot generally produce plays with more than eight cast members or with multiple settings which cannot be suggested with changes in set pieces, stage areas and/or lighting.

NSTC will only accept submissions of uncommissioned works which are accompanied by a completely filled out copy of the form below signed by the author, or all authors in the event of a collaborative work.  We only accepy hard copy scripts, no attachments or discs please.

1. Submissions are read by one or more members of the play reading committee and the Artistic Director as time allows. NSTC cannot guarantee the time frame in which a submission will be considered.

2. NSTC is not obligated to provide either written or oral comments on a submitted manuscript.

3. If NSTC is interested in producing a reading or production of the submission the Artistic Director will contact the author(s) by phone or e-mail to discuss scheduling and a production agreement. Declined manuscripts will be returned if the author supplies a self addressed envelope with sufficient postage at the time of submission. If the author(s) do not want the manuscript returned, we will notify them by e-mail or by a self addressed stamped post card if supplied at the time of submission. NSTC cannot guarantee the time frame in which authors of declined submissions will be notified and/or in which declined manuscripts will be returned. Please do not call or write the theatre about the status of a submission, author(s) will be notified as soon as consideration is complete.
